- Westport Walking Tours

- The Great Western Greenway

The Great Western Greenway is a walking and cycling trail, that runs 44km in distance. It begins in wonderful Westport, through Newport and Mulranny and ends in the famous Achill. There are several bike rental locations available: Westport Bike Hire, Paddy and Nelly, Westport Electric Bike Rental, Greenway Bicycle Hire.

- Sea Cruises

Looking for a breath-taking day trip? There are a number of sea cruises around Mayo that tour Clew Bay, Achill, Clare Island and Blacksod. Westport Cruises offer daily cruises around the beautiful Clew Bay’s 365 islands. Blacksod Sea Safari offer day trips to the abandoned Inishkea Island and coastal cruises below the majestic Cliffs of Croaghan. O’Malley Ferries offer tours to the magnificent Clare Island and Inish Turk.

- Meet a sheepdog

- Meet a majestic Irish Wolfhound

Meet the host Aidan and his two pure bred Irish Wolfhounds on Bertra Beach, outside Westport. Learn all about the ancient breed of Irish dog, and the largest dog in the world! Greet and cuddle the dogs and learn about the legends and of Cú Chulainn and his wolfhounds from Irish mythology.
