Civil Ceremonies
The Wyatt Hotel Westport is pleased to announce that we are now holding civil ceremonies in our hotel.
In order to hold a Civil Ceremony, the wedding couple must first apply for approval to the Health Services Executive Civil Registration Office. Each couple must apply directly as the hotel cannot apply on their behalf.
What to do next?

Approval is granted to each individual marriage on a case by case basis and is determined by a member of the Health Services Executive Civil Registration Office. A member of this team will meet with the Wedding couple and review their application. When they are satisfied that both the hotel and the wedding couple meet the requirements, approval is then granted.

Applications should be to the Health Services Executive Office made at least three months before the wedding, however, it is advisable to apply as far in advance as possible to guarantee requested dates. Approvals will be granted for civil ceremonies from July 2008 onwards.
What does the hotel have to do?
The hotel must complete a declaration form for each individual application and also ensure that the standards set out by the Health Service Executive Civil Registration Office are adhered to at all times.
Where will the civil ceremony take place?
The civil ceremony can take place in numerous locations in the hotel depending on the needs and requests of the Wedding Couple. The Wedding couple are welcome to view the hotel by contacting our Wedding Coordinator.
Can my guests have a glass of champagne during the ceremony?
Unfortunately no food or beverage may be served or consumed in the ceremony room for one hour before, during or one hour after the ceremony.
How much does registration cost?
There is a notification fee of €150.00 which must be paid at the first meeting with the member of the Health Service Executive Civil Registration Office. Other charges apply also, please contact your local registrar for more details or click this link Civil Marraige
